Welcome to my art.....

I enjoy using bold and strong colours in my work. My favourite artist is Van Gogh. The greatest encouragement to excel in this artistic way came from my parents, my Art teachers at 'Maria Assumpta Secondary School' especially Ms. Spiteri Staines and Headmistress, Miss Said.

Established artists such as Jeni Caruana, Olaug Vethal, Anthony Calleja, Joy Fardnall Micallef and Raymond Pitre are of a great influence to me.

My favourite mediums are charcoal and chalk, pastels, acrylics and inks.

Subjects - Life painting, portraiture, flora, still life and landscape

I enjoy doing portraits on a regular basis from life and very quickly to capture the first impression. When I do not have a model I choose doing people, off television interviews, many a time they would be public figures.


I have many colourful paintings that would look adaptable for printing on open cards or greeting cards. Interested please do not hesitate to contact me. They can be printed with the name of your private address or company.

Art Exhibition 'IN SEPIA'

On September/November 2002 I held my first solo Exhibition at the Meridian Phoenicia Hotel Lounge. The theme chosen 'in Sepia', is a collection of monochrome paintings consisting predominantly of Nudes (particularly the female) and temples. The themes have a common perspective and thus harmonize to create a complete cycle of creation. Since then Pauleen has never looked back as she has participated in various exhibitions locally and abroad.

 

 

 

 

Commissions for Portraits, Gardens, Landscape and floral Paintings are accepted.
