Pauleen Micallef was born in Leicester U.K. She qualified as a B.T.D.A. Fitness Instructor with Distinction in 1983. Whilst still bringing up a young family, she taught fitness and resumed her intensive ballet and modern dance training under the tuition of 'Miss Alison White'. In 1990 she qualified as a Modern Dance and Ballet B.T.D.A. teacher.
Unfortunately in 1991 her back problem needed a major operation and she was bedridden for considerable time. Fortunately Mr. Charles Duca B.T.D.A offered to take over the teaching faculty and helped her prepare her first set of pupils to take their foreign exams.
